Workplace Risk Assessments

Identify hazards. Control risks. Stay compliant

Under the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, every UK employer must carry out suitable and sufficient risk assessments. "Suitable and sufficient" is the legal standard and it is higher than most businesses realise.

Getting it wrong isn't just a compliance issue. It's a people issue.

Why risk assessments matter

Warehousing & Logistics

Forklift operations, racking, loading bays

Construction & Facilities

Office and Commercial Environments

Contractor management, site-specific hazards

DSE, lone-working, slips and trips

A missed hazard can mean an injured employee, an HSE investigation, or a civil claim. Newton David delivers thorough, practical risk assessments that give you a clear picture of where your risks are, and exactly what to do about them.

Manufacturing & Food Production

Machinery, manual handling, chemical exposure

FAQ

How long does a risk assessment take?

It all depends on the size and complexity of your site. A single-function office might take half a day. A multi-line food production facility may require a full day or more. We'll give you a clear time estimate before we begin.

Do you offer ongoing review?

Yes. Risk assessments aren't a one-time job.  They need to be reviewed when processes change, after incidents, and at regular intervals.  We offer scheduled review services to keep your documentation current.

What industries do you work in?

Primarily food manufacturing, horticulture, commercial operations and logistics, but we work across sectors.  If you're in the UK and need a risk assessment done properly, talk to us.

Can you work alongside our existing H&S Team?

Absolutely.  Many of our clients have internal safety leads.  We complement that resource with independent, expert eyes on their assignments.
